Hand-lettered Wooden Signs

The hubby’s coworker is getting married and his fiance had asked me to do lettering for her wedding signs. It was something I always wanted to do, and wanted to offer as a service. But I was initially hesitant because I didn’t have enough time to practice with a brush. Nor did she have enough time to get just the digitized calligraphy and have them printed. So I had to suck it up and get on with the painting.

It took me two tries to get the paint and wood to work for me (feels mighty different vs. a pen). Thankfully, I got the hang of it. YAY! It feels mighty good. It takes two careful coats to get the paint opaque enough over the stained wood.

Their wedding is tomorrow and I can’t wait to see how they look! These smaller planks below are to be used as photo booth props. Nice idea, huh?

Pricing: 4 signs (7 x 27 inches) for 1,350 PHP
Inclusive of wood, natural stain and paint.

  1. These signs are so lovely!! What’s even better, is the couple can use the signs later as they decorate their home.

You totally need to charge more for these signs, though. Like triple it at least.

    • thank you! your work is very inspiring!
will think about that pricing, but for now i’m just trying to get it out there :)
