It’s the first Font Friday post for 2012! Yey! And for that let’s have a dose of pretty positivity. With cuteness all around. This is inspired by Hero’s crib mobile (which I stare at too, it’s very hypnotizing).
Called Sofia, this adorable upright script is from Latinotype. It is described as “a coquettish, friendly and versatile typeface” – they forgot to also say yummy. Like a pastel colored icedrop. I am drawn to the lower case letters more than anything, because of the unconventional way they connect with each other. Like how darling that “p” is. And the “w”. It’s almost calling me to lick the sugar off of it.
